FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I get paid?

Payments are made weekly.

How much do I keep?

As a buoy owner, you keep 100% of your set rate. Our service fee is added separately and paid by the renter as part of their reservation total—so there's no cost to you.

Do I need to respond to reservation requests?

Nope—no back-and-forth messaging required. Bookings are instant and automatically synced with your buoy's availability calendar.

What if I want to block out certain days on my buoy?

It's easy to block off dates right in the app. Just add calendar blocks for the days your buoy isn't available.

What is the cancellation policy?

Guests receive a full refund for reservations canceled at least 72 hours before the check-in date. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before check-in are non-refundable.

What if the buoy is occupied or there's a maintenance issue when I arrive?

Starting 30 minutes before your reservation time, you can use the "Report an Issue" feature in the app to cancel your reservation and receive a full refund if the buoy is unavailable or has a maintenance issue.

What is my liability as a buoy owner?

As a buoy owner, you're responsible for keeping your buoy in safe, working condition. You're not liable for issues beyond your control—like severe weather or improper use by renters—as long as the buoy was properly maintained at the time of rental.

What is my liability as a renter?

Renters acknowledge that mooring involves risks and agree to use the buoy at their own risk, including risks related to weather, tides, currents, or vessel issues.
